Ray, Phillips Brooks, and Martin Luther King, Jr., served as the pastor of Concord Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York from 1948 to 1990. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bill Clinton and was widely acclaimed as one of the greatest preachers in the history of the English-speaking world.
